The Alchemist is one of these books of feeling "esoteric" which gives you the impression that life is still alive.
It certainly plays the feeling that"something more" that you forgot and thinking that you are part of a larger plan.
Follow Santiago, the Shepherd on her adventure boy questions you automatically your own adventure in life. you live your higher purpose? Why is that you have forgotten your path? What else is there that you need to do? Have betrayed you had to do with your life?
Ask questions like this... to feel emotions accompanying on these issues... This is really a wonderful way to live. For the short time that you read this book, you will feel more alive. You will feel more listening with "universe". You will feel wonderful 1-in-the-morning-stare-out-the-window-and-listen-to-the-wind sense... that is…unless you don't know what that feels like.
Santiago follows her dreams, that he take the Spain to the Morocco and then Egypt, all in search of a special treasure. In his travels, he learned the lessons of messengers who appear to be placed in its path at the right time, just when it needs them.
The author Paulo Coelho, is a Brazilian writer who is very knowledgeable. I have heard that Madonna loves him. I have read many of his books, but I think it's the best. He was shocked by a few pounds more in recent years that I have not yet read, it is certainly possible that there remains the Alchemist. I will ask.
Some of his books were fiction and on his own life. I can reconstruct, Paulo is a member of a Catholic Mystic sect obscure looking after spiritual growth. They give their members... unknown international mentors older men who have attained a high degree of power spiritual (and global success?). I won't even in some of the weird stuff they do, but if you want something, pick up "Pilgrimage", also by Coelho.
But read the Alchemist. It's like a good book. He will certainly give you a buzz wisdom... or a "esoteric-buzz".
Today, I read an interview with Paulo, where he spoke to look for "Omens" in your life that only you will recognize. It is a language that the "universe" speak for you... as coincidences, songs, feelings, and synchronicities. It is a theme it definitely hear much of the Alchemist.
Some people complain that the book is too simplistic, that you would be foolish to think that there are a few "plan" in your life that you must follow; you need to wake up, take charge of clouds "touchy sensibleries" and return to work.
If you're prone to these ideas, this book is not for you. However, if you like to wake up your mind from time to time, it is no better place to do that in the clouds.
